HEAVY DUTY Issue 83 November/December 2005

Well, we've really gone all out this time. Partly because we never falter in our quest to print the best H-D magazine in the country and partly due to the increasing number of stupendous show bikes being built, this issue we have introduced a first for Australian motorcycle publishing the double gate fold poster!

Winner of the Gold Coast Bike Week Chopper Show, Andersons Custom Cycles 'Dyna Might' is featured in all its glory next to Wes Sparks' Meguiars Superstars winner, the amazing, supercharged, 'Phat'. Both these bikes are world beaters and indeed, Dyna Might is being shipped to Las Vegas in November to compete in the World Championship of Custom Bike Building. Combine these two award winning customs with a report on the new '06 Dynas, a fantastic rigid built by GLH Customs called Devil's Sled, a feature on Aussie Kevin Alsop, owner of Big Bear Choppers in California and a full wrap up of Doc's Sturgis '05 ride. We also cover Gold Coast Bike Week and the national HOG Rally from Alice Springs.

Plus, there is a great piece on how (not) to race a Nitro Harley written by Rod Salvestro, the bloke who has tried it, Doc updates Orange Betty and just for a little balance we showcase a WLA chopper from the sixties; choppers as they used to be. Plus, of course, we have our Tech Torq, Despatch and Mild to Wild segments.
