back issues (29) : Brit Chopper issue 1

Brit Chopper issue 1Brit Chopper issue 1

First attempt by a bunch of total novices who hadn’t got a clue, but it came out pretty good. We had to hire a professional layout-man to put it together. Issue contains (amongst others) Briz’s BSA, Philthy Phil’s Model “T” RatRod, and an interview with “Atan”, an amazing Malaysian Chop Builder.

The start of a regular feature, “How we started”, tech features like “The Comfy Shed” and “Novice”, and Part 1 of Brad the Bastard’s “How to weld”, and the “Comfy Shed” (how to set up your workshop). There’s the start of an ongoing feature on Phixer’s first attempt at building a Chopper, something on the first “Bogsmasher’s Ball”, the “Fat Tyre” Sportster from Thailand (we went there to photograph a number of bikes and workshops), a couple of nice trikes, a Danish NSU car-engined Indian-4 replica, a tasty Triumph Bobber, the first of Sooze’s amazingly knowledgeable features and much more.

CENTRESPREAD “Made in Britain” Harley. This bloke had never built a bike in his life and even built his own frame.
