LATEST CREATION
Odin's Axle
One of Ron's most recognized bikes is Odin?s Axle. Created in 1969/1970 with great attention to detail (see the handcrafted axes on each bolt and around the circumference of each hub) for a cost of $10,000, it was at that time the costliest custom motorcycle in ever created. It went through a series of owners and was lost for a time, then rediscovered as just the rolling chassis at a New York swap meet and eventually restored by Ron for its new owners. Take some time to study this work of art while at the SUPERSHOW. This custom chopper, just like Ron, is a legend in the world of custom motorcycles.
Outspoken
Named for its 80-spoke wheels, Outspoken was completed in 1993 and was Ron?s personal ride for 6 years. Some of its unique features include gas tanks in the floor boards - made from aftermarket Corvette exhaust covers, the filler cap in the front of the frame, and handmade billet aluminium triple trees, and Ron?s famous rodwork accents over the engine, down tubes, neck and fenders.
Loophole
Stretching the limits of creativity, Ron fashioned Loophole with an exhaust that loops through the frame, above the 96 ci S&S Evo motor. It?s gas tank is built ?Finch Style? into the rear fender and its oil tank is fashioned after an old-style chrome cylinder. It?s candy blue paint job with multi-coloured blends on the rodwork, along with black, accent the layered frame on this unique custom motorcycle. When you see this bike at the SUPERSHOW try to imagine the thought process that went into designing it. It might throw you for a loop!
Double Cross
Double Cross was created by Ron and his ?Finchmen? for the Discovery Channel Biker Build Off in June of 2004. The result was a rolling sculpture that rocked the custom world and brought new-found recognition to this builder with almost 40 years of experience. The finished custom was named ?Double Cross? for the crossing over design that is carried out in the frame, handlebars, exhaust and accessories. Another truly unique creation that could only emerge from the mind of Ron Finch.
